[<--click photo] Xpats "Autumn" Caribana Vol.1 August 2010 The annual Caribana parade was a little early this year. but the weather was spectacular. Not too hot and no humidity. Lots of sun to confuse all the photographers and plenty of smiling faces. Over 200 masqueraders strong, chippin' down da road.. we were front and centre once again.[<--click photo] Xpats "Autumn" Boat Cruise July 2010 Our annual July boat cruise on the Enterprise 2000. Bigger and better than ever with lots of friends and new people as well. Incredible weather again (we are definitely on a lucky streak) with great music and a good vibe. All that with tall ships in the harbour and a few Caribs to celebrate. [<--click photo] Xpats Fall Golf Tourney September 2009 Our 5th annual golf tournament was held this year at Piper's Heath Golf Links in Oakville. We had a beautiful day with warm weather and fantastic conditions (fast greens though). What a great way to celebrate the end of summer. After golf we had a nice buffet dinner with door prizes and good friends. Luckily we had fantastic weather eventhough the summer has not been that good so far. But.. we were all smiling on this day. Lots of sun, fun and great music. This year our theme was the Aztec Warrior, and alot of our revelers went full tilt complete with face paint. Going 2nd down the road made a big difference and a good time was had by all. This year our theme was the Aztec Warrior, and everyone was asked to dress in green. Our hosts again were the crew of the Enterprise 2000. A good time was had by all, with maybe a few sunburns and hangovers to remember. [<--click photo] Xpats "Aztec" Section Launch May 2009 This year in tribute to Harold Saldenah, we are portraying early Mexico and the Aztec Warriors. To our surprize, we have sold out ALL OUR COSTUMES as of May this year and for the first time, did not hold a registration drive at the launch fete. Thank-you for your loyalty and support! [<--click photo] Xpats Halloween Bling Ting October 2008 Halloween is an especially entertaining party for the Xpats Crew. Every year, it's a time when many of our friends and family dress-up in the most unconventional, creative and hilarious costumes that you'll ever see. This year the bar was set pretty high as our photos will show. [<--click photo] Xpats Golf Tourney September 2008 Every year, Xpats has a friendly 9-hole golf tournament to celebrate the end of summer. Piper's Heath was definitely a challenge for most of the golfers. Luckily the threatening weather stayed away and we were able to wihtou any rain. A great party afterwards with lots of door prizes! [<--click photo] Xpats Hamilton Carnival August 2008 One week after Caribana in Toronto, it's now tradition to go to Hamilton (down the highway) and jumpup for the steel city's annual Caribean Carnival! Luckily the rain held off til the end of the road and we were able to enjoy a fun day. Like always, Xpats had a large section of revelers! [<--click photo] Xpats Fire Coral Caribana Vol.2 August 2008 One photo album is never enough for Caribana. The difficult part is getting photos of everyone and not duplicating the same scene... When the rain came in the morning, the camera had to be putaway, eventhough there were exciting moments. But.. that story stays on da road! The rain came down hard in the morning and threatened to spoil the day but when it was time to go on stage.. the sun came out, the costumes and masqueraders dried off and came back to life. The section looked stunning! A fabulous day after all. [<--click photo] Xpats Fire Coral Boat Cruise July 2008 God must be a Trini! We had beautiful sunny hot weather with a great crowd of friends and family to kick-off Caribana festivities. Soca Vibes played great music and Penny & Winston and the crew dished out a fabulous meal. In the Xpats tradition.. a great time with alot of smilin and sunburnt faces! [<--click photo] Xpats Fire Coral Section Launch May 2008 Xpats presented our Fire Coral costumes for Caribana 2008 and it was a huge success! We had a capacity crowd once again with many friends and family joining in. The models were stunning in their red, orange and silver costumes. We had professional artists from Make-Up Forever do the honors, which made the fantasy complete! [<--click photo] Xpats Carnival JumpUp January 2008 There's only 1 sure-fire way to get ready for Carnival festivities in Trinidad & Tobago, and that's to warm-up your winin' and dancin'. A big crowd came out to Clarkson Community Center on January 19th, jumpin' to the sounds of Wukkup and his crew. It may have been bitter cold outside, but nobody knew or cared, cuz it was real hot inside!
